How much does tile and grout cleaning cost?
Tile and grout cleaning starts from $9 per square metre, depending on the size, tile type, condition and accessibility of the area.
Additional treatments, heavy staining or specialised restoration may affect the final price. Minimum service charges may also apply.

Can I walk on the floor after cleaning?
How Messy Is the Tile and Grout Cleaning Process?
We use up to 1000 psi pressure inside your home safely, as we use a suction disc that does not allow water to escape over your tiled floors. All water is sucked back into our machine during the cleaning process.
Will Existing Tile Sealer Affect the Cleaning Process?
Yes, it does. We always test your tiled floors for any sealer or coatings that might be present. If we find that your tiles and grout have been sealed, we will advise you the extra costs to strip off the existing sealers so we can start the cleaning restoration process. You will then have a choice to reseal your tiled floor.
Can You Clean Tiles in High-Rise Apartments?
Yes as we use a portable machine for hard-to-reach areas. Please make sure electricity is not turned off as our tile cleaning machine required power.
Do You Charge for On-Site Quotes?
No, we offer free quotes and an in-home demo of our tile and grout, by testing your tile and grout for how it will respond to our restoration procedures.
Is Tile and Grout Cleaning Charged by the Square Metre?
Yes, we do. We will measure your tiled areas so we can give you an exact quote in writing. See our pricing page for more information.
When does grout need to be replaced?

How Long Does Regrouting Take?
Depending on how large the area is to regrout and the tile size. Generally, a 2-wall average shower including shower floor and silicon replacement, takes 1 full day to complete. Any larger areas 2 days. Commercial jobs could beat at least 1-2 weeks.
Is Regrouting A Messy Process?
Regrouting can be a messy job depending on the tools and machinery that is used. At Strictly Grout we make sure we keep the dust down, using our dustless regrouting equipment. We also fully clean the job site once complete.
Do You Offer a Warranty on Regrouting?
Yes. All our regrout jobs come with a 12-month warranty and our 100% satisfaction guarantee.
When Can I Use My Shower After Regrouting?
We recommend waiting 24 hours. If in a dry area, you can walk on them straight away.
Can you recolour existing grout?
Is recolouring the same as regrouting?
Can grout recolouring cover permanent stains?
Grout recolouring may help conceal suitable permanent staining and create a more consistent grout colour where the existing grout remains in good condition. The grout must be assessed and properly prepared before a colour sealing treatment is applied.
If the grout is cracked, missing or deteriorated, repairs or regrouting may be more appropriate.
Should grout be sealed after cleaning?

Does grout sealing make grout completely waterproof?
No. Grout sealing can help reduce moisture absorption and staining on suitable grout surfaces, but it does not make a tiled area completely waterproof or replace the waterproofing system beneath the tiles.
The suitability of sealing depends on the grout type, surface condition and products used.

Are there minimum charges?
Can cracked tiles be repaired without replacing them?
Minor cosmetic tile cracks may be repairable depending on the type and extent of the damage. More extensive damage may require individual tile replacement. Strictly Grout can assess the area and recommend a suitable option.
Can you repair cracked or missing grout?
Yes. We provide localised grout repairs where practical, including replacing damaged or missing grout sections. If the deterioration is widespread, regrouting may be more appropriate.
Do you replace individual broken tiles?
We offer localised tile replacement where suitable. Customers are generally asked to supply matching replacement tiles. We specialise in tile and grout restoration rather than complete tiling installations.
Can damaged grout cause water leaks?
Damaged grout can allow more moisture to reach areas beneath or behind tiles, but grout is not a substitute for waterproofing. If a leak is suspected, the underlying cause should be investigated before cosmetic repairs are undertaken.
